Keynote Speakers
Professor Dieter Rosenbaum is Director of Biomechanics Research, Clinical Research and Services for Otto Bock Healthcare GmbH in Duderstadt, Germany and has a wealth of experience in the sports and biomechanics arena, having worked in research and teaching since 1980. He has won over 15 awards and honours and is a reviewer for 37 international and national journals plus six major funding agencies. His key aim at Otto Bock is to apply his biomechanical knowledge and movement analysis experience to clinical research and service. Dieter’s keynote will be about assessing physical activity quantitatively (in daily life) and qualitatively (in the gait lab) plus clinical applications in lower extremity problems.
Dr Sarah Aitken, is a Vascular Surgeon at Concord Hospital, Sydney, as well as being a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney. Sarah has a varied clinical practice, taking a special interest in the care of older patients with significant vascular disease and minimally invasive treatment options. She is also passionate about improving surgical outcomes, with a focus upon ensuring that patients' concerns and needs remain central to clinical care.
Social Program
The Welcome party is included with registration and will be held on Friday 25th May from 5.30-7.30pm in the Big Top. This provides a great opportunity to mingle with delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
Our Conference Dinner will be held in The Palais with spectacular views of the launch of the VIVID Festival – a once in a lifetime occasion – spaces are limited so don’t forget to book your dinner tickets in addition to your registration.
