Central Queensland University
CQU have a Bachelor of Podiatry Practice (Honours) program offered now at their new 400 Kent Street, Sydney Campus. It is the same four-year program delivered at their Rockhampton Campus.
In the first year of the program students study the foundational courses including anatomy, physiology and psychology. From the beginning of the second year students undertake a mix of podiatry specific courses as well as evidence based practice, health promotion and pharmacology. Then in the third and fourth years, students complete courses specific to the various fields of podiatry practice such as sports, diabetes, paediatrics and surgery. Like Rockhampton, the campus will also have its own on-site clinical facility where students will be able to experience ‘real-life’ practice as part of the required 1000 hours of supervised clinical practice.
